Paradise on Earth

A collection of poems by David Morin

A Winter Landscape

Heavy snowfalls had come during the night, to cover the rolling hills and the pastures beyond

Daybreak came slowly but surely to reveal the serene beauty of a winter landscape

The snow had stopped falling but was here to stay or so it seemed

Nature had still to wake up so early in the morning

The ominous heavy skies had drifted away to be replaced by a picture of light blue

The air was crisp and still

Still nothing was moving on the shortest day of the year

The night fell as surely as day had come on this winter landscape
