Paradise on Earth

A collection of poems by David Morin

Flight of the Condors

In the high Andes South America a pair of condors were catching uplifting thermals

Their effortless flight making them true masters of the air

These two condors had bred successfully against harsh conditions in this mountainous terrain

The air was cool

The condors flew mile after mile

The sun was starting to slip below the horizon

Just as it had risen at the break of day

It was getting colder now

The condors landed on a rocky out crop for the night

Silence fell upon the Andes
