Paradise on Earth

A collection of poems by David Morin

Here and There

I was sitting on an isolated West African beach as a new dawn broke over me

I was lost in my thoughts somewhere across the Atlantic Ocean which lay before me

The sun started to warm my face as I watched each breaker coming in from the ocean

Some four thousand miles away

Sitting on an isolated beach on the west coast of Scotland sea water gently lapped on to the sand

I gazed openly to the neighbouring islands beyond me

After a while a glorious sunset filled the whole sky
