Paradise on Earth

A collection of poems by David Morin

A King in Waiting

Many moons ago, from a continent of distant shores a young boy travelled to the United Kingdom.

As he grew older, he took on tasks big and small.

He had to prove, not just to himself, but others he could serve and not be served by.

From a marathon cycle, or the highest and hardest mountain in the United Kingdom, would be conquered in his stride.

He even won the battle for life itself.
A long recovery widened his focus in life.

Don't get me wrong he had strengths and weaknesses.
But he played to his strengths and where he could improve his weaknesses.

Charities were close to his heart.

He is in a state of readiness if the call to serve a nation comes.
