Paradise on Earth

A collection of poems by David Morin

No Need for Speed

The old waterwheel turned slowly on the slow moving river

The windmill turned with every captured breath of wind

The swan reduced speed as it landed on the water to guide gracefully along

Planet Earth revolves ever so slowly

When I can I'll go for a walk, climb a hill or mountain ever so slowly at a leisure pace

So why oh why do some people go to and fro like there's no tomorrow

Think wisely if you need to speed for the sake of others

Better late than never
