Paradise on Earth

A collection of poems by David Morin

Over the Sea to Skye

The small fishing boat eased it's way gently from a wooden jetty on the Island of Skye

The sea was deceptively calm, but from experience the fishermen knew it would stay that way for the time being

The range of Cuillin mountains were shrouded in a romantic mist which would slowly but surely lift during the day to reveal their true majesty

The full moon and what seemed like a million stars illuminated the tiny fishing boat

The small boats fishing nets were full, it was time to head for home

All was well
