Paradise on Earth

A collection of poems by David Morin

Reflections of Winter

Pine forests stretched up the sides of the snow covered mountains

Below the mountains lay a small loch

The snow was there to stay

The water on the loch was as calm as a mill pond

Moonbeams filtered across the tops of the mountains and danced on the water of the loch

The air was crisp and pure

A snowy owl flew silently into the moonlight

Moments before a mountain hare had passed by

The next day the snows would come again over this unspoiled land

Another day had past just one day of many
