The Islands
In the middle of the Indian Ocean lay a group of very small islands
The islands were not much above sea level
The single runway was very short and precarious
From the runway a very small boat could be or rather was taken to the neighbouring islands
The single engine plane arrived at sunrise crossing an Ocean of green and blue
Round the islands the dolphins were always there or never far away swarms if multi coloured fish swam in the shallows up towards the silver sands
It was warm all day but not too warm
At the end of the day the sun sank slowly, every so slowly into the ocean
The sunset was beyond poetic words a taste of paradise
